Globe Cargo

Anyone have thoughts on the new VATSIM audio codec? I haven't tried it yet but watched some youtube videos. I'm actually looking forward to getting my sim setup and try a flight on VATSIM now. This took WAY too long to come to fruition, shame on VATSIM but at the same time thanks to them for finally doing something about it.

I'd love to try it, but when I try and connect vpilot says it can't connect to the audio servers.

I hear it is great. Happy to try it. Just need to get my Yoke and throttle mounted to the desk.

It’s great. Out of the gate it was rough because they weren’t prepared for the server load caused by the mad rush, but then they added a lot of capacity. Now the hype has died a bit, and controllers aren’t showing up like they were.

IF you use vatsim, Unicom is only for departure and approach. They are asking people to NOT use it during the cruise fast because you then occupy space on the voice server.
