"Hey All, Just a quick screenshot I took using FRAPS in FSX. Im sat on Runway27 at Princess Juliana (TNCM) preparing for TO. I was planning on completing an IFR flight from (TNCM) PJ - (CODR) Codrington but my 'Trial Limit' had expired
Heres the pic of my Beechcraft Baron 58 waiting for Takeoff in vicious thunderstorm conditions
When i tookoff from 27, the A/C was jumping all over the place. If you set all the graphics (display) settings to full, the scenery detail is amazing

Pretty cool... I like the shadow the "vicious thunderstorm" is casting. Thought they would have fixed that by now. What kind of frame rates did you get? What is the recommended machine mins? Looks like it will take a new PC for me I'm sure.

I'm surprised to see that the taxiway centerline is made up of polygons.... the runway textures are not impressive. What graphics quality setting (if even available in the demo) did you have on?

"Hey Mark & Nathan, Firstly, FSX recommends any system spec I think as long as your display adapter is over 32MB, but to be honest, i think you should be looking into 128MB+ for the graphics and about 512MB Ram for FSX to run smoothly! Framerates were poor for me, locked on 25FPS but I was only getting between 8+14! Yep Nathan, you can set the display settings in the demo, and I had mine, on all the buildings, aircrafts, effects etc... on HIGHEST, and to be honest, im running a 128MB ATI graphics card and the graphics still arn't exactly how the pictures are when you adjust the sliders! and, i agree, the RW textures are not that impressive! Thanks, Ross S"

"Yes I must admit that me too was a little disappointed with the textures. I am running mine of full wack and getting 30+ frames but yet not that impressed to what I was hoping for. Maybe its just the demo, but you would have thought they would make it look better than that."
