Darrell,

What kind of scenery are you running? Looks like a lot of neat AI aircraft not to mention cargo facilities.

Thanks Bryan,
I spend a lot ( maybe too much ) time tweaking my AI traffic. Its a mix of World of AI and just downloads from Avsim.

The sceneries are : MIA & DXB is Fly Tampa
LAX and AMS from Cloud9
NCE is simwings
PIK is freeware on AVSIM the filename is pik2004.zip
BRU is Megaairport by Aerosoft

And of course AFCAD is always used to tweak parking / taxiways

I'm thinking of buying Fly Tampa KMIA since I use it a lot. Do you like it; is it very detailed. By the way, very nice pics.

I too would highly recommend the FlyTampa sceneries! I have had the Miami and Dubai sceneries for some time now, and they are superb (DXB needs a bit of an update though! Doesnt meet the latest taxi diagrams). I have also, on the 5th, purchased the new Kai Tak scenery, and fallen in love with it ;) I have been practising the IGS with 405 at the moment, so look out Allen  lol

Great screenies....one question

Do you always run Fsim in that mode, rather than full-screen?

I was told years ago that full-screen helped the 'puter to run faster.

How do you know that Darrell?

They are not there anymore by the way. That spot has been removed to runway 36L-18R the "Polderbaan".
I've been there lots of time too.

I do know that if you run Vista, full screen can cause some issues that are not desirable. I always run it in the mode with the tool bar visible at the top. I don't have any issues that way at least with Vista.

I too run in the mode where you get the taskbar and menubar. It makes the picture on my computer alot clearer than in fullscreen when it tends to become blurry and look awful :|

Hold the ALT key down for a few seconds and the taskbar will disappear.

Thanks Bryan,

I think I'll stay away from Vista and FSX for some time until it works.

I always run in full screen unless I'm checking something like weather, servinfo or browsing the net. I hope to have a dual monitor system going soon.

Ross

That happened to me but years ago now and it was to do with the video card not being focused, or something like that.

I get better frames in FS9 running full screen (WinXP). I also get better frames with dual monitors, if both are using the same resolution and attributes. I think some people overlook setting the resolution on the second monitor, because you have to select it separately with the drop box on the hardware tab. They can't be set simultaneously.
