Just images I've captured over the last year or two. Nothing special. If it looked cool to me, I just took a screenie. It's all FS9 with weather from AS and textures of various mixtures from FE, GEPro, ASG, and some freeware stuff I've found at Avsim and other places, plus mesh from FSG. Some of these are kinda old and I really don't know what's what, anymore, as far as textures go. Running dual monitors, most extra panels on the right..
5Y648
Over Alaska
In line for takeoff at EHAM RWY27 from tower view.
UAE flight over the coast of Bangladesh, I believe. Probably OMDB-VHHH
Same flight, I think.
FSGenesis mesh. Sweet.
More mesh.
PO702. Jupiter, Mars and Mercury lining up with the sun.
Flying over Peru at night.
Logo light not legal, but hey, neither is my beer.
Same flight.
Flying over New York City. Manhattan in the middle, New Jersey on the left.
Active Sky produces some interesting clouds.
On the ramp next to a Polar plane.
Appears to be FE sunset textures. Near the coast of Japan, if I recall.
More FE, a little later.

Ewing, what kind of program are you running for your terrain, scenery.. I can't think this early. I mean for your city streets/lights etc etc. I noticed that top down view over the big city. That wasn't an FS standard shot LOL.

Bryan, you've got a good eye. The shot over NYC is USA Roads. Forgot about that one. It only covers the lower 48 and around HNL. Unfortunately, it's been superceded by GE. I don't think you can even buy it, anymore. It certainly is no longer supported, which is a shame, in my opinion. I think it makes the ground much more realistic at night, particularly urban areas. The GE textures are just too generic.
Ground textures are probably GEPro. The USA Roads disables the "default" road textures, whether they be GE or FS and show the entire real world road system, right down to local neighborhoods, and even some people's driveways. Remarkably, there's no noticable frame hit, even when I had a much lesser system than I do now. I don't know why they went away from this, because I'm still blown away by it, and was hoping they would expand it to cover more of the world.
This is the config utility for it. I could just show major roads, if I wanted. I could also switch to high or low pressure sodium vapor lights at night, or match FS textures. I could also choose between bright and dim daytime road textures. I can also change the traffic density for urban and rural areas (night).
Pretty cool to go into FS and find your street.

Ok, ya, I have that as well. I don't have it installed at this time. I started to install it and read something about problems with it and Vista so I just held off. I may attempt an install of it though, I miss it...

Another reason to avoid Vista, I guess. That's really weird, though. It just changes the textures. Or is it the installer that's incompatible? Seems like you could find a workaround if that's all it is.

Well, I was mistaken. I did some reading on it and its still for sale on their site. They are saying if you can run FS9, you can run that program too. So I did and it works great! LOL

I'm surprised it's still for sale. I thought I was the only one still using it.
I went to their support forum a while back and couldn't find much of anything about it. I guess there's not much that can go wrong. Glad to know there's another USA Roads fan around.
