Hi there,

after a long time I finally could finish some repaints of the Captain Sim Boeing 767-300 for FSX. Unfortunately this aircraft is pretty hard to paint due to the way of texture mapping and design. The paintkit is not very good and I had to build some own stuff which helps me to align the logos on the fuselarge. Besides that, the paintkit does not support all door configurations. So I had to add 'AiiA' door configuration by myself.

However, during painting I found out that some parts cannot be paint seperately:

- antennas have no own texture, they are aligned with some parts of the lower wing  which means thy always will be dark grey
- the little side wings on the engine cowling (dont know the right name) also aligned to the engine intake lips, so they must be alsway light grey

1. ATLAS AIR

I have done three aircraft: N640GT, N641GT and N642GT. N642 has a AiAA door configuration.

Here a pic of N641GT:

and N642GT:

TITAN

For Titan I started with N607TA as I intended to deliver a winglet version. But during painting I had to find out, that the texture cs767_9_T which is responsible for the winglet parts of the PAX version is used for the CARGO interior of the Freighter model. So as soon as you enable the winglest for the Freighter you have them aligned with cargo interior oder if you put the texture in the folder, after opening the Cargo Door you will see the parts of winglets inside! :x Great aircraft, isn't it???

However, here is N607TA without winglets: ( I hope my repaint is better than the one which is available at CS webseite :D )

I hope you like thios stuff anyways. I will continue with the DHL liveries now...

Looks amazing as all of your paints do, Bodo!

A real shame that LDS never made a freighter variant!

Yes that's true.

But their 757 also will never appear.

Well you can rest assured that when LVLD says their 757 is no longer going to be released, PMDG is going to do one. PMDG has publicly stated that. Apparently PMDG and LVLD are good buddies and that is why PMDG isn't going to step on their toes until LVLD announces they won't release it. As far as we are aware the airplane is still coming from LVLD.

If my mind is correct, the 757 was announced some time around 2006....so now we have 2012.
So they are developing a 757 for 6 years already and no end in sight?

What is their problem? Missing motivation, missing time or problems they cannot overcome in FSX? I belive that Wade Chafe simply gave up but does not want to confess that.

LVLD is a casual developer. They aren't a production house that some other companies are. They simply do it in their free time.
