"Bryan, there is on takeoff, that little toga screw you need to press, Maybe that is it, just making suggestions. There is lots of documentation on this aircraft, so lots to take in, but it seems a lot easier to startup and fly once you got the fmc and autopilot stuff worked out, than the 742. But I am not going to abandon the 742. Hand flying a star into Katl or Klax, when it is busy on vatsim is a real rush Ed mosier 1287"
"Ok, flew a real quick hop and finally got the LNAV to engage, but I had to almost be totally on course to get it. I used VNAV in the climb and just kept putting in steering inputs into the heading select until I got close. So I think it will work now! I think my frustration was Radar Contact not clearing the leg due to ATC commands taking me near a fix, but not right over it. So my co pilot kept wanting to steer back and pick up the fix! I stuck him in the lavoratory!!! Anyhow, now maybe I can actually get things rolling. Did you ever get it to stop dropping below glideslope? I noticed mine did the same thing so I took manual control back and flew it in by hand. Boy is that going to ding us on FSFK or what?!!!"

Hi Bryan I found that the problem with dropping below the glideslope was my app speed, so I disengage the auto throttle once I am at the speed indicated in the FMC for full flaps, and then adjust the throttle manually to keep me on the glideslope till about 700 ft msl then handball it in . "Ok, just caught up on the posts! My mother board bit the dust!!!! When I got the computer back, the tech had somehow removed not only my driver for my modem, but my mouse software, and my sound driver!!!!!! Wow was I bent! Slowly but surely getting back online now! The guy tried to tell me I didn't need software for all that! And to think it was a reputable computer service company!!!"
