Ready For Pushback is now FREEWARE

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Ready For Pushback is now FREEWARE

Post by GTI1643 »

I looked on avsim.com yesterday and got a nice surprise......RFP 747 V2 is now Freeware. This was due to other sites selling the product and making a profit while the developers didn't get anything from it.

To me, the -200 vs. the -400F are like driving stickshift vs. an automatic. Some people like one, others like the other. Please add your full name to your signature. Thanks."

"That's a pretty good way of comparing. It's like my Father always told me, "If your going to drive, you will learn the stick shift before you get to drive the automatic" It has given me a great respect for the different advantages that both of them offer."

"Yep, I agree. But to me, the lack of a decent 3D virtual cockpit is a real drag in the RFP. That's why I only fly the 400 these days..."

"I love flying the 400 from the vc, you can very much do everything from it. However, I do try to keep my skills up in the 200, it is amazing how much you forget in a short time. The vc is really dated in it, but the 2d panels are still great, and if you were lucky enough to get the v3 panels, even better, top notch in my opinion. I flew mia to lax last night in the 742, still quite a handful and keeps you on your toes, but many times the 744 wins out when trying to pick between the 2."

"Since it is a freeware, you just cannot install it. Of course, if you don't like INS and do everything by yourself it is not a fun airplane to fly."
