"Justin just a report on GCP...great job by the way..anyway last night i set up a flight from KORD to RKSI..loaded up gcp...flight was going fine so at 2am i turned it over to the relief crew and went to get some downtime..get up this morning and my son logged off my account so he could msn or download music who knows what well you know what happens then anyway i think thank god for GCP i'll just reload the flight. Now the fun starts got to flight sim reload the last gcp save..go to the pmdg tab and reload the panel state ok fine start GCP select the aircraft, select the flight click on "load flight" and i got this what i had to do was go to the file tab select load then pick the file that matched the Sim save file that i just reloaded that worked only thing is now it is not saving files anymore just logging..no problem...is this the correct way to reload a crashed flight? if not what is the procedure,or did i find a bug? Long story short i've put the relief Captain on report chained a pitbull terrier to the Captains chair, and you may have saved the life of my 15 year old son...thanks for your work on this "
"Please email that image to me or upload it via imageshack and link it from there. The procedure would be to: 1. Start FS 2. Start GCP 3. in GCP go toFile->Load Flight 4. Select the last autosave flight (will be the flight number_departure/destination_FS time in UTC) 5. you may have to click Connect to FS but i can't remember off the top of my head 6. Back in FS, go to File->Saved Flights (I don't recall the exact menu item) and select the saved flight with the same name as above 7. Load the PMDG Panelstate, same name as the files above. I'll look into the autosave not working when you load a flight...it's supposed to work Justin"

The Load Flight button is for when an FS flight is downloaded from the server. In a future version I'll make it easier to recover a lost flight like this. "Well landed at Incheon no joy...GCP was recording the flight beautifully but i don't think it was communicating with FSUIPC,when i landed>brakes>s/d engines there was no block in/on vsi or enroute time recorded..tried to generate a pirep by going to tools>pirep>generate and go this error unable to find C:Program FilesCommon FilesGlobe Cargo PIREPFlightslogsPO_KORD-RKSIxxxxxx i'm thinking there is no log folder within the flights folder that i can see..maybe my install is bad but my log folder is in the main Globe Cargo PIREP folder..i'll send you the data dump by email dang 13hrs down the tubes oh well maybe i can get something fixed.."
OK Justin this things got me baffled i reloaded the last saved portion of the flight..started GCP reloaded that clicked connect to flight sim..landed as normal checked GCP no block on time...redid the landing again and instead of flaring her in nicely i thought maybe it's not "seeing" the landing so i put her down firm at say 500+ fpm on the vsi...BINGO i'm now showing a block on time perfect i thought...went to the ramp hit the parking brake..tidyed up the cockpit s/d the enginges and this is what i got same as we discussed on Messenger...tried it over and over again had to land really firm then at engine s/d bam error DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:Program FilesCommon FilesGlobe Cargo PIREPFlightsLogsPO721_KORD-RKSI_20070909.txt'. P.S. Ok i created the directory it was looking for put a copy of this file in it PO721_KORD-RKSI_20070909.txt'...it was looking for that too..redid everything...SUCESS!!!!!...still didn't log the VSI there maybe a problem there as well as the missing folder...but hey i was able to finally log my flight after what...24hrs of messing around with it...YIPEE!!1 i'm going to bed...let me know if you need more details on this...later guys

Ok, I think I found the problem and it's something I came across early in development and thought I had fixed. It's a very strange problem and I won't go into detail (because I don't know the details...it just happens ) but I wrote some code to get around it The second problem you brought up was the lack of logging ability when a flight is loaded in GCP. I found the issue there and have fixed it but I need to look at functions around the problem area to make sure I got everything. After my incident I emailed you about I finished the flight and it was not logged just as you described. Thankfully I can run the new code and open the old saved flight to finish the flight Stay tuned for an updated GCP file.
