Aircraft Ground Speed Records
I came across this site I found several years ago and had saved it on a CD. http://www.speedrecords.tk/ It's a database of aircraft types and (unofficial) groundspeed records including pictures as proof. I have a picture somewhere with a higher GS for the BE-76 Duchess than is the current record on the site. Trouble is that I have no idea where that photo is.

"Yeah, 747 tires are rated at 220 kts max. So that would have been some show if it was on the ground! "
