Probs D/L new checklists

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Probs D/L new checklists

Post by hawkeyeted »

First off, thanks a bunch to Mike Swannick for his work on the checklists. Very professionally done.

However, when I D/L them, they want to be saved as .htm docs rather than .pdf's. I have to change the extension from .htm to .pdf in order for Adobe to recognize it.

I am using Acrobat 8.1.1 Pro, Firefox 2.0.0.11 w/Adobe .pdf viewer plug-in. I verified that it wasn't something on my side by going to a different site and D/L a .pdf. Open view worked as normal.

Pretty sure they have to be downloaded with Internet Explorer. I had the same problem and doing that solved it.

I had the Problem with Firefix, what you do is:
Click on the link - "Open with" and find your PDF handling program ( i use adobe)
Let it load up then in Adobe, Click File and save a copy as

Easy work around :D

But that fact that I can D/L and view .pdf's from other websites in Firefox, but not the checklists makes me think its something with the GCP server. I could be wrong though... :?

The issue seems to be due to a space in the file name... I renamed the files to use an underscore instead and changed the download page. I tested in Firefox as well as IE and I can download the files without problems. Make sure to choose "Save As" in the dialog box and everything should work...
