What software allows VoicePack acceleration?

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

What software allows VoicePack acceleration?

Post by PAC1544 »

I know there is a software tool that allows me to speed up the voices in AI ATC. Anyone know what it is called or have an URL to it? I hate listening to the AI voice because it is just so slow. Maybe I should just buy Radar Contact, but I hate to spend the money on that which I already have in the default ATC. Anyone have it and recommend it?

Brian,

Even though RC is more realistic, you still have a few flaws in the voices. For the most part I highly recommend it in replacement of the FS ATC, but of course it is not perfect. Vatism is a blast if you can find enough controllers participating to make it worth your while. My last trip that I used Vatsim on was almost 5 hours, controllers would pop up and be gone after about 30 minutes. I managed to miss everyone on my entire trip, so I have been kind of bummed about Vatsim in that respect. I don't mean to be blasting Vatsim either, just stating the facts as I have experienced it lately.

Yup, that's my experience as well. I like flying out of EGLL and EHAM because there is a lot of ATC coverage, but when I get to the far east, it is usually non-existant, and yes, I am taking the time difference into account. It is rare to see someone online controlling there. I wish the people who set up ATC in the CONGO had done it in UAE instead so there would be someone in Dubai for my arrivals.

Know what you mean. At all hours of the day, I rarely see any Asian ATC. I do see some in Russia, but nothing over in the Orient.

I can find at least Japan and Hong Kong online early in the morning USA time. Usually from 6 to 10 am Central time. That is when those who live in the Orient are home from work There evening if you. Europe the same way. For my time zone after say Noon its getting to be evening there and they are at there height in ATC coverage. Not an exact science but seems to work.

For me unfortunately I fly before 5pm usually US time and miss most ATC everywhere including the US. LOL

I have the package you are looking for. It's called EditVoicePack. It will accelerate the rate of "speech" from the AI voices as well as give you the option to add some ICAO phraseology. It can be found at http://www.editvoicepack.com

Hope that's what you were looking for.
