FINAL TERMINATION.

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

FINAL TERMINATION.

Post by esurfman »

:!: Please be advise. All pilots under my management (what used to be the NSA Region) that will have the Final Termination in the comment field will be deleted at the end of February. EVEN IF YOU DO A BUNCH OF FLIGHTS BUT DO NOT SEND ME AN E-MAIL YOU WILL BE DELETED This also includes those who fly (be it Atlas, DHL or Polar Open Flights) but do not bid. I will also deleted those on extended leave of absence that have not flown for a year and have not sent any e-mails. Any new pilots with 2 months or more without a flight will also de terminated on the spot.

If you fit in any of these categories and do not wish to be terminated, e-mail me as soon as possible. I just need a simple e-mail with a simple reason.

Again, I urge you to contact me because as I said, EVEN IF YOU FLEW BUT DID NOT BID OR DO NOT FLY IN FEBRUARY BUT BID FOR MARCH YOU WILL BE TERMINATED

This is only being done because of the ''breaks'' that have been given to some that have been abusing it.

Sorry to all the guys who do their normal flights and all; you guys should not be affected at all.

Again, the purpose of this message is to give ample time to correct the situation for those who still want to fly with us. :!:

Furthermore, in the future new applicants will be checked against our list of previous pilots and may not be allowed to return if they are noted as having "disappeared" during their previous employment here. We are not in the business of having idle pilots on our roster without good reason. For those pilots on "final termination" take notice as we take this seriously.

Similar measures will be taken in Europe and Middle East region. Please pilots, check the roster, if you see the mention "Termination pending" next to your name, contact your regional manager within the next 7 days.

Thank you!

:!: Wow, if all goes as it probably will, we'll be getting rid of almost a quarter of the pilots. Geez!

How did it get this out of hand?

Kevin: It's not that anything got out of hand I don't believe. I think it is just a matter of weeding out those guys that applied while they were thinking "Wow, this looks cool!!!" and then realized, its something that takes dedication, and that dedication is not so hard for those of us who literally love aviation.

We are probably always going to have this happening. I think the big thing here is that GC is not like any of these other VAs you see on the net. We are different, we have lots more here than others do. Our intent is to make sure we get that message across to those that sign up on a whim and don't really want to stay active.

Sadly, over the past year I have had less and less time, make that no time, to ride around in my dear RFP 742. With my new job and ERAU I'm pretty much done using the computer for anything other than homework.

You Globe folks are the best. Take care. Jim *out*

Sorry i've been away and unable to fulfill my flying requirement. I have a charter marked for this afternoon so that will get me back into the swing. I haven't been recieving any emails about the bidding process but I can see from the roster that I bid tomorrow.
