Relief flights

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Maybe thats a feature we can add to Globe Cargo.....with the virtual salary building up, we may as well spend some of it to jumpseat to where our aircrafts are...what do you think?

IS it possible to send a flight from Australia ??
We always send relief on C-130's or C-17.

So a dept from a Military Base - Amberely ( YAMB), Tindal ( YPTN ) or Townsville ( YBTL) would be great :)

I know the marines as stockpilling in Thailand and bringing a lot from RODN ( Kadena AFB - Japan) if there is interets :)

Thanks for listening to the inital suggestion Byran, much appreciated :)

Right now my position is at KATL.. I don't mind doing a flight from Atlanta to Italy then over to Yangon, can that be arranged? Or maybe just a flight from Italy to Yangon if the leg from Atlanta is too much?

I was thinking the same thing.

Maybe we could add a set jumpseat system. Anyone else who has worked at VCair.com should know about the jumpseat page. Maybe we could emulate it, but thats a whole other thread :)

Craig and I are familiar with it as UPSVac does that. They use their own money though. If I am right, our pay system at GC shows a "salary" it doesn't acumulate a balance so if it was something that was approved it would mean new coding for Tomas.

I'm not sure but seems we crossed this same bridge a while back and decided it was really not necessary. But again, this is something that would definitely have to be addressed by the staff.

I know Tomas is constantly working on things that are in the making, so we have to consider his time. He has plenty of irons in the fire already. Best thing is to write up your suggestion, submit it to your regional manager so that he can then in turn submit it to the appropriate person.

Maybe Tomas could use some help :)

I am personally useless with coding, but maybe someone else at GC might be able to assist him :)??

Also thanks for the YPTN charter Bryan, Airborne now :)

Your welcome, hope you guys have fun with these flights.

As for Tomas, I would help, but I can't do much dusting and cleaning from where I am.

That would work, If I could get a hold of my RM. I tried emailing him earlier this month, and got a failure to send, to some address I'd never heard of. (and I know I typed aa@globecargova.org)

Try sending him a PM on the forum here. He will probably get that within a day or so depending on how frequently he gets online.

That would work out great. I've still got to finish RJAA-PANC. Going to ROND, and to somewhere in China, would put me back in the vicinity.

Basically, I'll take another relief flight, if possible. :)

No problem with that idea, as long as we can somehow document that relief flights are being flown on behalf of this disaster. Right now I have not found anything at all to indicate this. In fact right now China is still flying flights into Myanmar.

All right, Cargo delivered. I was half expecting an escort from the Myanmar Air Force.

Now, just need to find a way back to ICN, hmmm... :?
