FedEx virtual

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

looks like a legit FedEx virtual is on the rise
http://www.airfrontierva.com/fedex/

I believe their URL will change to fedexva.net or something of the sort......

I've heard that every time a FedEx VA starts, the real FedEX is quit to put an end to it.

Hmm,

I put $10 on it lasting less than a month.

I will say they did a really nice job on the website, looks like it could pass as a real FedEx web page! :D

Its a shame FedEx has to be so anal about these things, they're for FUN!!

well they did post that they had permission to use their logo..Lets just hope they really do....if they did then that would be great since the last well known FedEx VA was pretty large, they may get a lot of members.

They don,t from what I can see, improve on what we have here, they have a more varied fleet but apart from that I think this is the better Cargo VA ! :D

There is another FedEx VA that I have been watching from afar to see how long it survives. Its the folks at http://www.fevirtual.com and they seem to have some staying power and growth. I see their pilots on servinfo/vatspy all the time.

I love it here too :)

Go to the newsroom on the fedex site and watch the promotional video!
Watch the flare on the Cessna landing  Flaring a Cessna ???? i always thought aircraft like that were
suppose to be a 3 point landing! He nearly scraps the tail!

Reminds me of the PX ( Air Nugini) B763ER landing in BNE had a tail scrap on landing!!! :D Practically impossible i know, have some pictures of the damage
somewhere if anyone is interested, nothing major

Three-point landings with Cessnas??? Only on the C170 maybe - that is the tail dragger. Any flight instructor would skin you alive if you tried that on a C172 or the Caravan that is in the video! :D

Yes, they are supposed to be landed with a major flare. The technique that I was told is to keep the plane less than a foot above the runway, throttle idle and keep raising the nose until the plane stops flying on its own. Mind you, after flying for the vUSN for a few years, my real-life landings suffered...

Exactly Correct....A 3-pointer in a tri-gear aircraft spells...REPAIR.....

fedex virtual seems to be legit indeed...I was flying online and their HR manager sent me a message....apparently they have a good dispatch and working on an ACARS. they have virtual pay..with which u can pay for jumpseats and ''virtual pilot accessories''
from uniforms to headsets and watches lol....oh and you also have to pay to do your upgrade exam.

The only thing bad is that they are run by 15 year old kids from Washington, DC. Not sure how much of a future they have. I joined, and then quit because of the whole FedEx logo thing. I couldnt get a straight answer out of them if they had permission or not, and since I dont want to endanger my real life job, I left. Plus I dont like being restricted to a certain A/C type based on rank.
