Flight Planner.
There seems to be a problem with the NAT tracks in FSBuild. If it's not corrected anybody has any other program that is good to use.

Re: Flight Planner.
Do they both give you daily nat and pacots tracks and can you export to PMDG, atr, level-d and so on?

Routefinder gives you ,Nats, also you can export to Squawk Box 2&3, FSX & 9, FS Nav, PMDG 737 & 747, PIC 767/Level D767, XPlane7.30 as for ATR it utilises Plans in the FSX & 9 Folder, but you can plan Routes for ATR with Routefinder as you can for any Aeroplane

Re: Flight Planner.
Anybody knows about FS COMMANDER? It seems really nice but is around $50.00. Just taught I'd ask around before dishing out the money.

I use it with FSX since FSNav is discontinued. You can update FSC with the latest Airac from Navigraph. I run FSX on one computer and FSC on my laptop through simconnect.esurfman wrote:Anybody knows about FS COMMANDER? It seems really nice but is around $50.00. Re: Flight Planner.
I had a look at FS Commander but decided that it wasn't worth the money. All it really adds is a moving map - which some folks consider to be "cheating".
All of our aircraft except the 742 and 727 has an FMC. For the ones that don't have one, you could use vasFMC instead. Their older version is a nice simple FREE FMC utility - the new version which is still in Beta looks like a "real" FMC. Since I very recently switched from FS9 to FSX I did spend a fair amount of time trying to find a FSNav replacement but decided against the moving map and stayed with the built-in FMC for the modern planes and vasFMC for the ones that I don't have proper panels for. That currently only being the C-17 and a couple of helos that I fly on a regular basis.
FS Commander is freely downloadable and you can run it in demo mode for 30 minutes or so. The only functionality that is missing before you register is the save/export of FPs. Yes, the flight planning is nice but there are a couple of websites that do a better job and FSBuild works equally well or even better.

I use the FSC map but with the aircraft position turned off, then it's like looking at a chart to locate airways and waypoints without cheating.thansson wrote:I had a look at FS Commander but decided that it wasn't worth the money. Re: Flight Planner.
Do any of them show the VORs, ADFs and Airports with Runway ILS frequencies as in FSNavigator?

Re: Flight Planner.
Yes, and ATIS, taxiways, parking spots and gates, AI traffic, airways, airspace, MSA, weather, etc. I'm sure you can find screenshots and a list of features on their website.John Khan wrote:Do any of them show the VORs, ADFs and Airports with Runway ILS frequencies as in FSNavigator?

Re: Flight Planner.
Disregard....got it FS Commander - and it looks great.
I used FSNavigator since FS98 so am used to it and FSC looks very much like it
Mike's Routeplanner (or is it Routefinder) sounds good too and I would like to have a look at FS Build, where can I find them before I make up my mind?

Re: Flight Planner.
The free RouteFinder is here: http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/
I don't think there is a demo copy of FS Builder. Check out their website just to make sure: http://www.fsbuild.com/
And last but not least, check our vasFMC at http://vas-project.org/
I just finished a flight in a C17 (no built-in FMC in this model) using FS Build to create the route and vasFMC (the older version) to fly it.
