Hello everyone,
My question is what are the recommend Vertical speed for climbing / decending. i always use 2000 give or take on the situation but when i have VNAV, its around 4000 give or take. Are there Vertical speed restrictions in the US? or anywhere else? i open the manual and type in "Vertical Speed" in the search but nothing answered my questions. Also where is a good place to print charts? i tried VATSIM but is there anywhere else that you guys recommend?
Thanks all
Joe

Re: 744 Vertical speed rating
I don't recall any areas that have a V/S restriction. The only thing I can think of is if you have a altitude restriction as part of the SID/STAR.
Normally SIDs and STARs are flown in VNAV or FLCH modes as they calculate the best V/S profile. You'll want N1 maxed out on climbs (EPR limit) and adjust the V/S so your IAS doesn't drop or climb.
