Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Hi Alexei

Go to the "Flight Operations" page and select a flight from any of the airlines.
I would suggest a DHL to start as they are shorter and will get you into it, depending how much sim. flying you have done before.

Do you have the GCP (Globe Cargo Pirep) software? (From the "Pilots/Downloads" page). This is an automatic system that will track your flight and, after you land and park, it can send the official pirep to Globe Cargo where it will be recorded against your name.

It might all seem s bit strange at first but you will get used to it very soon. We all had to start somewhere, and if you have any questions about anything, just ask on the forum.

Good luck
John

PS. Have a good look through the various sections of the site.

There is a lot of information there for most situations and, as mentioned, you can always get help, especially from your Region Manager if you can get him when he is fairly sober.

Welcome aboard. Before taking a flight, you might want to do a test flight to see if everything including the pirep system is fonctionning ok. Have fun. :)

Once again thanks for the welcome, I am hoping to do my first flight for globe cargo today, however I am having trouble with the PIREP.

Could someone please give me a run through on how to use it?

Open GC PIrep, it will open on Pre-Flight, if you have Bid Flights to do, click on Select Flight and Highlight your Flt from the D/Down Menu, if no Bid Flights, highlight "other",then click on Airline, A/C Type and Aircraft and select the Reg No, then in the Status Box below will be a message telling you if the Aircraft has any MEL Items that prevent you from using that particular bird, The Flight info Box is self explanatory, as is the Alternates Box, Autosave Section leave as is , Download and Load Flight Buttons are Self Explanatory, once all that is done if you are connected to FS the Connection Button should be Green, and make sure the small boxes are ticked along the Bottom then away you go and forget about it, it will start when the Parking Brake is released and finish on the Ramp at your Destination when the Engines are shut down and the Parking Brake is applied, then you can Log the Flight in the Logbook and if its an Official VA Flight send the PIREP
