Virtual air show exhibit in Quebec.
Just to let you know, in March 2009 I, with Pierre Fortin, will be part of an exhibit for virtual flying and we will show a demonstration of flying a PMDG whale on Vatsim and how to fly heavies. I will also make the promotion of Globe..if you go on the site it's Compagnie virtuelle Globe and also were they ralk about the 747 on Vatsim.
The link to the site (only in french, sorry) is http://www.salonaviationvirtuellequebec ... ipants.php
If any of you have any ideas about what I should say or do, do not hesitate to post. Anybody close by is also invited.
This is not as big as other one specially in Europe but it is only our second year.

Re: Virtual air show exhibit in Quebec.
My French is close to non-existent but from the website it looks like the event is in April in LaChute? Is this correct? If so, I might drop by. Either by plane if I have my medical back by then or by car. It should be about an hour's drive from Ottawa if I am not mistaken. Now, this is assuming that there will be some English content there or I will be all lost!

I'd be happy to translate although plenty of people I'm sure will speak english. You could even talk about Globe and Vatsim also. Keep me posted.

Excellent Louis!
It is in my calendar so unless something unexpected happens between now and then I will be there! If you are doing a presentation on VATSIM , I would be happy to contribute. I've been a Senior Controller/Instructor with VATSIM since 2002 so I should be able to answer a few questions - in English please! Lately I have been active in military flying and controlling so that could be something to bring up as well.

Re: Virtual air show exhibit in Quebec.
Just to bump an old topic since we are getting closer to the day... I just wanted to confirm that this is still on... I am definitely planning on attending! Unfortunately it looks like I will have to drive in since I don't have a current medical for my PPL...
Louis, I know that the schedule already has been set but if you want me to bring my laptop to do some impromptu talk about VATSIM controlling (in English!!!), or anything else for that matter, please let me know... Send a PM or email to me and I'll pass on my cell phone number...

Thomas, it is still on. A presentation would be nice and I could always translate. You're going to laugh because the 3 of us are going to be dressed in full commercial ATP: White shirt with gold epaulette, black tie, black pants and black shoes..... You can email me at the videotron email.

Re: Virtual air show exhibit in Quebec.
Maybe even a film What would be fun would be to have a bunch on 747 pilots during the events ( we might make 3 flights). Maybe Justin and Bryan would allow flights done during the day to count in the roster although it is about 45 minutes to an hour long. But it would be very nice for people new to Vatsim. Short flight; Toronto will be staff as Montreal who will be offering service in French (Luc ) and English plus you guys would have an audience of people in Lachute watching you guys.

Re: Virtual air show exhibit in Quebec.
Great turn-out and perfect weather for the event. And by the evening the cold-front swept in and we actually had a mini-tornado about 2km from our house!
Here are my photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tomashanss ... 607195856/
The big guy in the uniform is Louis! And the tiny ultralight is the plane that I went up in for a small trip above the airport!

Great Photo,s Guy,s,wish i could have been there, Love those 3 screen set-ups, but I think I,d be in the doghouse more than normal if I tried for one of those, nice to see Pics of guys you know through the Forum. What was Louis landing when he looked so serious? from his concentration I presume he was landing something?
