Well, these are of course matters of taste but I enjoy the 3D virtual cockpit a lot in the PMDG 744 and NEVER fly 2D (until I build my home cockpit some day, of course ). I use the thumb-nob on my yoke to "turn my head" in the cockpit and it works very well. Gives a much more realistic "out the window" view during landings, for example, than the 2D panels do. But this is naturally just my opinion.
