saturday flight still available sunday not ... for polar ops

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Fancy a swap? I'm fed up to the back teeth with the SH*TE weather here - rain, rain, rain, wind+rain, rain+wind, rain, rain, sunny & 35+ degrees every day*, rain, wind, rain+wind. I've been missing a proper winter and summer time I'm used to for quite a while.

*holiday in Ukraine  On my way back home from UKBB (37 degrees) I had a wee look at the monitors as they were showing temperatures at destinations. My first destination was EGLL and it was an unimpressive 19. When I boarded my plane to Edinburgh the captain, who was speaking Scottish, gave us weather update with some excitement in his voice 'the weather in Edinburgh is very good, DRY (prize the Lord!), no clouds and wind (my jaw was just about to drop down) and WARM, 16 degrees. Oh, for F sake I thought, welcome back home, feeling lucky to have my polar fleece with me ;)

Been listening to the boys at PANC via LiveATC.net? 30 sec run-ups by departing aircraft = cold and icy conditions!

Not at all like my native Michigan. In the past week we've had everything from 25F to 60F... Gotta love that Michigan mood swing. I think Mother Nature is visiting herself.
