Hello all.
I am new to the airline, and did much research prior to choosing my first flight to fly, which is Anchorage to Chigaco. UNFOURUNTELY I neglected to check that the AC that was assigned the flight was in PANC. It is not. It's in KDFW. So what's the procedure now? I'm stuck with a flight that I want to fly, and an airplane that is not located at the airport. I don't have time to fly it there AND back, but the flight will expire if I don't do it. I've checked the manuals and can't find anything on this problem...Can someone please point me in the right direction?

It's no problem. Fly the flight as the aircraft location is just an advisory at this point. Eventually we will have full fleet tracking which is part of a much larger project of which that aircraft location is a part.

Okay, that's kind of what I hoped. So, I just use the assigned aircraft and just "pretend " that it was flown there on a previous flight?

That is correct.
