"Hello everyone! I just joined and I'm very excited to get going. I suppose I will spend the next few days reading over all the material. I've had RFPB for quite some time, but haven't flown it recently. I also never learned the navigational computer thingy <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> I am looking forward to learning this. I dug up my dusty manuals, and along with the docs from the VA, I should be busy for a while, refreshing myself on all aspects. I hope it's ok that I won't get my first flight in until probably this weekend. Regards, Jeff "

"Welcome Jeff! Hope you have a good coffeepot for these long flights. About the ""navigational computer thingy"", I would recommend the CIVA INS (if you don't have it loaded). We'll see you in the virtual skies! "

"Thanks Mark! I think I just have whatever was originally with the plane when I bought RFPB. And I never took the time to learn the navigational equipment. I only used the ILS to fly GPS, which I know isn't realistic, so I want to learn to fly it as they do in real life (well, as best as possible).. I spent the last evening trying to figure out why FS9 suddenly is jerking me around, and I think it has something to do with other things running or something. I was able to test the ACARS, and it appeared to work well, (I saw myself on the map!!).. But I don't know where to find pilot 5555 to verify the PIREP was submitted. Looks like I have some ""tuning"" to do before I can get a real flight going. Jeff"

Hi Jeff and welcome aboard. This is really a fun airline to fly with. <!--emo&;)--><!--endemo--> As far the place to find pilot 5555 try Pilot Pirep Info then go into Regional Statistics. Look it up before you send your PIREP and then after to see if the change was made. <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo--> Best of luck...
