Polar and Atlas both operate in Kilos, so if it is in KG only, consider it even more realistic.RCR wrote: Phil,
This would be awesome, thanks! Will you do these in pounds or kilos, -or both? Being a Yank, it's hard for me to think in kilos...

I just bought FOC based on the thread here. I haven't looked much into the documentation but playing with it a bit, is there no auto route generation??

Re: Flight Operations Center....
No Justin,
i think i ve seen this something were implemented in a beta one (cant remember ... age sometimes lol) but for now not. this is the hardest task on that side. but once managed you ll dont even think about that !...
but when we made test with Jeppesen Flitestar Corporate, Jetplan and Navtech in auto Mode we didnt get back what we re expecting (Notams not taken wrong sense for the flight direction, wrong flight level ...)
so i still think when there is not lot thousands of flight to dispatch the way to be done is easy ... the MTT is sometimes good sometimes not ...
just my two cents ...
see you
Phil
ps1 : when you ll get have your hands on it you ll see the light differently on our flights.
Ps2 : what about a tailor made flightplan format for our company ?

Re: Flight Operations Center....
That is confusing because I thought that Polar and Atlas, and by that extension Titan, only used figures in kilos... So everything is always in pounds on the Atlas and Titan flight boards?

Re: Flight Operations Center....
As an aside, is there a tutorial anywhere where we can learn the ins and outs of FOC? The documentation isn't all that helpful. Maybe for GC a step by step tutorial of how to use this software to prepare for a GTI/PAC flight?

That would be great because right now I don't have a clue how to work this thing. Any volunteers?Joe Clark wrote:As an aside, is there a tutorial anywhere where we can learn the ins and outs of FOC? Would it be an idea to sticky the conversion rates somewhere?
1 lb. = 0.454 kilos. 1 kilo = 2.205 lbs.
Use an Excel sheet to convert. You can make a small table and just enter the amounts as required.
Just in case of any confusion, how to do it....
Multiply weight in lbs. by 0.454 to get kilos. ie. 22,000 lbs = 9,988kilos. (weight in kilos will be roughly half the number in lbs.)
Multiply weight in kilos by 2.205 to get lbs. ie 22.000 kilos = 48,510 lbs. (weight in lbs. will be roughly double the number in kilos)

Re: Flight Operations Center....
Why it is that the US can't go metric is beyond me. How hard is it to multiply and divide by 10?
