interesting repo job

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

That is a fascinating read. I would love to read a book by that guy on this topic.

Funny how Tower was in there. When I worked for the real Polar, a repo guy came to our office and we had to follow him to the Tower Air hangar with a pushback tractor. He was reposessing a 742F from Tower, and Polar's parent company (GE at the time) bought it, so we had to tow it over to Polar's building. A few months later, it was N924FT, the first (and only) classic painted in Polar's current livery.

Tower was notorious for this happening. It was was almost nightly, repo men were coming for specific engines that were owed back payments on their leases. Their CEO would catch word of this and order engines swapped from one airplane to another (sending the engine in question on a plane doing a Tel Aviv turn) so that when the representatives came to take their engine back, it wouldn't be there. Shadiness at its finest.
