Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.
Just re-joined GC after a few years of jetting around our virtual world in the colors of a few other VA's, also recently spent some time over in the IVAO world (no feedback required). I have been assigned to Australia Asia division. Was with GC back in the days when RFP was the primary (only?) ride in town and the PMDG 744 was just being launched. Surprisingly my forum registration/profile was still intact after all these years ... Jeff (# 2018) I'll reply to the PM you sent me in 2007 soon
I live on the Gold Coast, Australia and I work as a programmer ... and i like long walks on the beach, dining out and am looking for a long term relationship .. wait wrong forum.
I have a few questions already and I haven't even performed my first flight ...
What callsign do we use for the QFA/BAW/UAE flights?
What ICAO prefix & callsign do we use for the "Houston Express" Sonair flights? (not that I am likely to ever get a bid on one for those for a few years!)
As far as I know, if your talking about Vatsim, it's Polar (PAC) for Polar stuff, Titan (TTN) for Titan stuff, and everything else is Giant (GTI). Also only your pilot number is authorized ie: (GTI1242 for me) for use with ATC online (Vatsim). While flying offline (Not using Vatsim), you use the actual flight number.
As usual, correct if you see something wrong here anyone.
Are Atlas using GTI/"Giant" on their SonAir flights in real life?
"Houston Express" on FlightAware
Yes, SonAir is operating the flight, but it's still Atlas' crews etc.. So we use the "Giant" Callsign. As for QFA, BAW, and UAE, we use "Qantas", "Speedbird" and "Emirates." Just a reminder though, if you're flying say BAW3574 from ATL-STN, as some added realism you could call in with ground/tower as "Speedbird 3574, Heavy, Atlas Colors."
Hope it helps.

As for flying on VATSIM you can use "Qantas", "Speedbird" and "Emirates" as the callsigns but ALWAYS use your pilot ID as the flight number. As for the Luanda trip it is the "Giant" callsign.
Now if I can only get a flight done, my last two attempts have resulted in FSX freezes - arghh frustrating! I have only recently built a new 'super' flight sim PC and made the move (again) to FSX so I am ironing out some glitches. I spent a few hours today jumping around airports in Vatsim trying to get my FSInn aircraft model/livery matching right. Also been re-compiling my massive AI collection and various sceneries & AFCADS for FSX compatibility.
Can anyone point me to details for teamspeak 3 set-up.
