Videos Anyone?

We are considering a little GCVA promotional video contest to be posted on the front page. Trouble is, does anyone do videos anymore? If several are interested, we will hold the competition.

Perhaps an idea of how to do them well, - ie; with good clarity, resolution etc., and I'm sure a lot would be, judging from the excellent Screen Shots we get.

Well i use Fraps sometimes to video the landings, but the sound is terrible, for the life of me I can,t figure it out

I like the idea. I think you are correct that not many people do them anymore (probably due to the time involved), but I think a video or two to help promote Globe is a great idea. It would even be really nice to generate a following on say YouTube, much like edetroit. He does some incredible videos in FS9 showing various routes with various airlines and cargo operations (see this Airbridge 742F cargo flight he did; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4h94r_XiK0). However, the time needed to record decent snippits of the various parts of a flight (staged and enroute) is heavy, as is the editing and sound sweetening process, but if done correctly, showing all the different airframes on various routes worldwide would look great on the front page.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking about capture software and/or editing software?
