RFP 747-200

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Greg,

IAS climb is a tricky thing, the best way for me is a v/s climb (where i control my speed increase by lowering the v/s) until my speed reaches the required ias for climb. At this point i switch over to ias climb from where it will work ok. If you start it too early it tends to oscillate/overshoot.

It still saddens me they try to make money from something that turned freeware

Happy to see you are trying the RFP, tricky but very rewarding. I love that plane :D

Marko, I think my problem was I did not step climb. I now have the charts to figure out how and when to do that. Will try it on my next flight. You are right, a very satisfying experience to learn this plane. :)

The RFP is still my "first love". I fly it as regularly as I can. It's a true pilots airplane. It's all about weight and energy management, as well as navigation. I have a panel mod that gives me TCAS to correspond with RVSM requirements, CIVA INS package w/AEDU panels for loading flight plans, and an HSI that couples to the INS to indicate desired track and distance/time to the next WP.
