"<!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> Hi everybody. My name is Mats Rosenqvist and I'm a pretty new pilot her on Globe Cargo, but I'm not the only one having problems with fs9 I guess. I have not been able to complete a full flight ever due to CTD ""black screen"". <!--emo&:angry2:--><!--endemo--> Have been searching on the internet for pilots with similar problems but I can't find anything that helps. Yesterday I tried one more flight, (ESGG-KORD). When 350 nm left.. BANG... <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> CTD and a meassage ""low of memory"". My system! Motherboard Asus P4C 800(Latest Bios) P4 3,2 GeForce 4 Ti4600 (Latest Nvidia drivers) Ram 2046mb (Low of memory???????) DirectX 9.c Soudblaster Live 5.1 (Latest Drivers) ChProducts Yoke, Throttle, Pedals I know there is a lot of programs running in the background when I fly on line. Squawbox, SbRelay, FsHost, Active Sky, Avc. I'm not sure but I think I have read somewhere that FsHost might be a troublemaker. Two weeks ago I set up my Rfp 747 for a flight from Esgg-Klax. Nothing els but the sim itself and Active Sky connected, approx an 11 hr flight. The sim was running all the time and I was able to complete the flight without CTD. Strange? or? Should be very very <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> if someone could help. "

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> This sounds a classic ""memory leak"" problem to me where one of your ""add on programs"" is not releasing memory properly and so it gradually consumes all the free memory until ..... BANG as you say! The fact that this doesnt' happen when just FS9 alone is running, is another bit of evidence. Try keeping a watch on the amount of free memory using Task Manager whilst everything is running and see if the free memory starts to drop away. Repeat with one of the addons not loaded, then try again without another addon until you identify the culprit. "
"1. Hmm, you can, instead of SBRelay try IVAO's FS2SBMP (or something with a similar name - does the same as SBRelay. I have been having problems with the first one, and found the latter quite OK on VATSIM). Maybe one of you computer subsystems is overheating? 2. I have also heard that FSHost might be problem making. Maybe try not using it? And could you describe what you use it for? 3. New VATSIM clients are one their way!"

Thanks for answering me. So far I understand that fs9 not create this malfunction itself, and for the moment I can exclude both Fs9 and Active. A memory leak??? Is this just because of Win Xp or what? The ""BANG"" maybe sounds more like BOOOONG <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo-->"

I dont think there is an overheat problem as I always monitor my cpu-temp, graphic-temp and hard-drive-temp. Otherwise my system should shot down compleatley "
