Flight Schedule Question from a Newbie

Post by dauffrey »

Hi folks,

First off let me say that I LOVE Globecaragova and all the hard work put into it! I am so thrilled to have joined this special group. Certainly makes the flight simming way more enjoyable as if it wasn't enjoyable enough.

I have a quick question with regards to the Flight Schedule. I was in the routes pages checking on one of my bid flight for tonight and while preparing my setup which is GTI5409 PHNL to KSEA, I noticed someone else flying the exact same leg and tail number N498MC which was scheduled for the day earlier, call sign GTI5407. Just curious if this was a scheduling annomoly or something. Having the same plane N498MC flying PHNL-KSEA two days in a row.

The schedule looks like the following: http://www.globecargova.org/Polar/view_ ... ?depart=23
As you can see GTI5409 is Monday and GTI5407 is Tuesday.

GTI5409 is in the air this very moment and it's very likely I won't be far behind him in a few. Same Plane and all.

I realize we all have real world jobs and different schedules. I try to fly the schedule as close as I can or at least the next day or two when possible. (My wife thinks I'm a nut case) LOL

No concern on my part that someone else might be flying Monday's schedule today (Tues), but I was simply curious if this was in error, being that the same plane was taking off from the same location, route back to back?

Probably just an error in the scheduling of tail numbers. Our database derives from real world sources, but in order to make it fit the needs of a VA, some information is adjusted.
