Hi Guys,
Have just completed a long haul flight KHSV-ELLX GTI621 but realised after I was airborne that I'd set FS2004 clock wrong, so this shows my departure times wrong and my block times wrong, would I need to contact my Regional Manager or HR Department to have this corrected. I have written relevant things down from postflight section on GCP.
Many Thanks
Jason Thompson

Re: PIREP Needs changing
hi jason,,
the next time you take off and realise that your FS time is wrong LEAVE IT where it is,at globe its good to do things right BUT, its not that important, and then at least you will still log your proper hours..
mind you over the atlantic with posreps could be quite a challenge if GANDER or SHANDWICK were online
i seen you leave KHSV on vatsim but tthen you disapeared of vatsim and disconnected from acars on the flight map LOL,
hopefully they will give you your hours but something looks wrong with your times, and i cant work out why the flight map disconnected you. did you close GCP at any point??
anyway hope you had a good flight and see you in the skies real soon
regards terry

Re: PIREP Needs changing
Hi Terry,
I thought the online mode mean't using VATSIM as I flew the rest of the flight offline, then when I got up early this morning I pressed yes for online again as I re-connected back to VATSIM. Though I've just looked at it and noticed it said GCP.
That will teach me to look properly next time LOL. I did look to see if you was online but never seen you when I checked just before me take off, If the PIREP has to be deleted that's ok I'd rather have my logbook correct than wrong.
I can bid later on so can maybe re-fly the flight again or another one though the bidding looks very confusing as I don't really understand it from when you bid for the flights when do you fly them?
Hope to chat to you soon
Regards
Jason

Re: PIREP Needs changing
Hi Jason,
There's nothing to the bidding. You can take as many as 5 flights per month, or as few as 1. All you have to do is fly your bid flights some time during that same month. It does not matter when you fly them, just as long as you do it in that month.
Hope that makes it clear.

Re: PIREP Needs changing
hi jason,
no the online mode in GCP means that GCP is connecting to globecargos website and nothing to do with whether you are on vatsim or not,
when you say you pressed yes in the morning do you mean in the user settings??
if so then just leave that set to YES all the time,,once GCP is setup then you shouldnt really have to go into user settings very often if at all
even if you do your whole flight offline you would have GCP in online mode so then it connects to the website for the flight map and maybe other things in the background for management to look at,
how many coffee breaks you had and the like
if you look in C/programfiles/globecargovirtualairlines/globecargopirep/logs ther should be a txt file that logs all your flight details,if you find it then send it to your RM manager at globe depending on what area you were assigned too and he can add the hours manually for you, although i did that the other day for that flight KJFK/KKORD we did when i forgot to send the pirep as i was helping you out on chat but am still waiting for my hours to be added.
and also if you switched it t6oo offline mode then im not sure what will be in that txt file.
as for the bidding if you do nothing then the system will allocate you one flight,or if you do bid on upto 5 i think you can you will recieve an email tell you what flights you bid on successfully and in that email will be the dates on which your meant to fly them.
again i think as long as you fly your bid flights within the same month as they are supossed to be flown as john posted above then thats fine.
you dont have to fly them on exactly the time and date attached to the flight,as we all have realworlld commitments,so you could have a flight that is shcedulded to depart at 0600z from wherever but there is nothing stopping you flying that flight at 2100z or even on a different day or whenever..
hope thats as clear as mud for you
and will see you online very soon hopefully
any other questions fire away
regards Terry
