Captains upgrade test ?

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Post by jfriz »

Hi All,
I tried to open the Captains test. Found out it will not open. Did a search,,, several old posts says the link is broken. Anyone know if it still works,? Maybe, I am not looking in the right place.
Thanks,

Hi Thomas,

I tried both Internet Explorer 9, and Firefox, neither will work for me. This is something that I have tried for about a year now, every few days.
Any body else??

Also the email feature," Notify me when a reply is posted " has never worked for me. [Yes, I have the box checked]

Hi JFriz,
Just to clarify, did you already request the upgrade and get admitted to a class to take the exam? I'm not sure that if you haven't been added to a class by HR that you can access the exam, logged in or not.

Hi Jay,
Every few days for about a year I have requested the up-grade, have not heard anything back.

I do get a note saying that I have already requested the up-grade.

Thanks,

I keep forgetting that I have full access to the site which most members don't. You need to be in the HR upgrade group to have access to that page. Contact Ralf to get access and if you don't hear back, feel free to bounce it to Michel or Justin. I will also make them aware of this thread.

Sorry for the delays getting back to you. I replied to your email yesterday but I did so on my phone because I'm at work. There's a reason I hesitate to send emails on my phone and this is why. I found today that my email to you was saved as a draft instead of sent. The questions I had for you there were answered here.

I looked into it and you do appear on the list to upgrade. You didn't, however, show up as being in the group allowed access to the exam. I've placed you in that group so you should have access to the exam immediately. If you are still unable to access the exam let me know and I will continue to follow up with the issue until it is resolved.

Merry Christmas!

Hi All,
Just tried the Captains test again,[after scheduling a couple of free hours] still broken for me. Next time I'll try to open it, even if I don't have the time to take it.
When I request the "Indoctrination test" it opens within a second, however, it will not cancel out.

I've verified as deep into the system as I can go that you should have access to the exam. This may be a dumb question but are you logged in on the site? What do you see on your screen when you click the link to take the exam?

Hi Justin,
Yes, I made sure I was logged in each time.
After several tries this evening, it worked on my Vista machine, using IE9.
And I did pass.
Am opening a bottle of Merlot now.

It would not open on my Win7 machine ???
Any chance of fixing the email notify feature?
Thanks,
Jfriz

Hi Folks,
One more question.
I took the test yesterday, and passed, question.. are there any more hoops that I need to jump through?
What I mean is,,, when do I see the upgrade?

Cheers,
