New Pilot

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

New Pilot

Post by Edward_Arruda »

Hello:

I'd like to introduce myself (pilot # 2936) and although you don't see it yet I'm an old dude (59).
I'm a USAF vet and former KC-135-A crew chief when we thought water could burn and the Strategic Air Command was at it's zenith.
I was also a C-141-B flight engineer when C-141s were breaking too much and on their way out. Finally I have some C-172 time
back when gas was 70 cents a gallon and instructor time was $13 an hour.

I have been doing the Flight Sim stuff since MSFS 95 and kept up. I recently resigned from Easternvirtual Airline with 1000=
hours of boredom. It was time for a real challenge and found it here. I am looking forward to flying with GCAV understanding
the performance expectations are more like real life. Tomorrow I choose my first flight and move out of provisional status.

Kind Regards

Ed Arruda
GCVA # 2936

PS: I'm a little slow on the learning curve right now due to the higher demands and the relative complexity of operations here
but I will catch up. :)
