Upgrading Computer System

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Re: Upgrading Computer System

Well, I think it finally happened. I believe a memory stick failed on me. All of a sudden my system either wouldn't boot or if it did I'd get a BSOD within a couple minutes of logging in to Windows. The error code would be different most of the time but the most common I saw was a memory management code.

I pulled one of the two identical sticks out and the system has run normally ever since. I've tried putting the other stick in and the issues return.

Corsair didn't give me much hassle and approved a warranty return quickly and without attempting to blame it on something else. The only issue is that because the two sticks were bought in a bundle they require both be sent back to them. I had to basically buy another set from them to have it shipped before I return the bundle with the faulty stick. Once they receive my return I will get my money back though. It's free otherwise to return the bundle with the faulty stick but that would leave my system dead in the water until the replacements arrived.
