FS9

"Hi Guys Right, I decide to check which version of fs9 I am using, find out it is fs9.0 , so I decide to install the update which I thought was already installed, because I have had it since it came out in 2004 but because I have had to re-formatt a few times since I must have forgotten to install it. So I install! no problems on the install,fire up fs9 which is now fs9.1, set up for a Flight from EHAM - KATL 2nd Leg of a two stage flight, Now when I go to the Airport, by Default my Engines are running and my first action is to shut down using the Fuel cut-off levers so I can start from Scratch ie, Dark & Cold! First time I do this , fs9 crashes and the subsequent two more times I attempt to stop the engines the same thing happens, <!--emo&

-->[img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif[/img] so , I uninstall the Update, everything is back to Normal, start again, no problems until take-off, have to abort at about 90 knts, ship is veering right, check my Fuel,I,m missing 80000 lbs again! <!--emo&

-->[img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif[/img] So I re-set the Flight, this places the Ship at the end of r/way 6 so as everthing appears normal once again, I decide to use R/Way 6 instead of going all the way back to R/way 27, something normally you wouldn,t do but I was fast running out of Patience Get upto Cruise , set the Mach and relax, couple of hours in,decide to have a look outside and the Texture has disappeared off the Aircraft, I,m flying a Grey Ghost! and it stays that way until I,m on the ground at Atlanta whose Runways didn,t appear until I was about 400 yds off the Threshold on a clear blue winters day! <!--emo&

"Hey Mike, I do have the update installed and never had any problems. I use it with FSUIPC 3.48 (3.52 is the latest). Maybe you should try reinstall RFP after you updated FS to 9.1. regards,"

It does sound like you are using the wrong version of FSUIPC - it MUST be the latest version as older versions are NOT fully compatible with FS9.1. Let us know if this fixes your problem.

"Barry I,ve re-installed everything and the problem appears to be Active Camera! so i,ve searched my Backup Files and there is a Patch to cure a problem with fs9 crashing to the Desktop when fs9 update is installed and an attempt is made to access Active Camera, wouldn,t it just happen when I was approaching Cruise Level on a Atlas Air Charter from Tenerife- Monastir, ah well c,est la vie !
