Over the next few week I will be turning the job of CEO over to Barry Moorhouse. Barry has been with us for a long time and has been very active in getting Globe Cargo to where it is now. The change over will be seamless and no one should notice much change in the coming weeks. I am stepping down due to other commitments that are taking up a lot of my time but hopefully Globe Cargo will retain me on the roster in a retired capacity for a short while.

"Thanks for everything, Ralph. The VA. The 747 Classic. Come back by the watercooler once in a while, so we can swap stories. And congratulations on the promotion, Barry. I'm sure you'll love the corner office with the big window. Are you buying a round tonight? "

I hate to see you go but I hope that your new ways will be bright and pleasant. And of course I hope that you will never forget Globe Cargo. Good luck to you and thank you for all you have done for this marvelous VA. "Congratulations to Barry, but...... Ralph where are you going? Are you just going to disappear or what? I mean I have known you like everyone else has in one way or another every since we have been hooked on RFP and Globe Cargo. I guess what I am saying is I don't want to be on here one day saying, Hmmmm wonder whatever happened to Ralph..."

"I join everybody in wishing Ralph well for his future projects and add my great thanks for his tireless dedication in setting up this VA. We may not be the biggest but I think you will struggle to find any better. Ralph's act will be a hard one to follow and I envisage no significant changes to the ethos of Globe VA. We will all miss Ralph's professionalism and expert knowledge as well as his dry sense of humour. Without any doubt my first job will be to add Ralph to the Hall of Fame, there can be no more deserving candidate. I will do my best and thank you all for your good wishes. "

"I would like to thank everyone for your kind words. Globe Cargo first opened it's doors on 29 May, 2004 and has made a lot or progess in this short time. The first couple of months everything we did was handled manually including all PIREP's. With the help of talented people like Jeff Greth and Mike Hanke we have become as automated or more automated than some of the much larger Virtual Airlines. There are not many airlines that can boast having their very own Route Generator and dispatches plus a great cargo loader. We have been blessed with having some great administrators to keep the airline on track and growing every month. I can not express my gratitude enough to all of you who have made everything possible. I have no hesitation is saying that Barry will do a great job as your CEO. Barry is tough but fair and always gets the job done."

"Ralph has generously accepted the post of RFP Consultant to Globe VA In this role he will be be our main advisor on all things to do with the RFP 747-200 (after all who do you think the Ralph is in ""Ralph's Panel Shop""?). This is a purely consultative position and Ralph will endeavour to help when time permits by answering posts on the forum and communicating with the VA Admin. There will be no flying or bidding requirement for this position."
