I completed my first flight but after exiting Flightsim FSACARS decides that it has crashed and dumps the data! 12 hours of flight gone. Luckily I use FS Flight Tracker as well - can I submit a report based on that data?

"There is a work around to this. When ACARS posts an POSREP, it is recorded in a text file named ""ACARS.TXT"". Simply rename this file to somthing like ""KORDKMIACrash.txt"". Then, restart FSACARS, log in and start as normal. When you arrive at your destination, close out FSACARS as normal, but DON'T SEND IT! Just exit the program. Open your saved .txt file with Notepad and copy that data. Now open the new ACARS.TXT file with notepad. The first entry will be FSACARS initialization data (as though you just took off) and can be removed. Just paste the data from the saved file into the ACARS.TXT file, making sure that data is placed BEFORE any of the data in the new ACARS.TXT file. This is VERY important because it ensures the date/time stamps are in the right order. Double check it for accuracy before you save it. Restart FSACARS. When asked if you are at the departing airport, say ""no"". This defaults FSACARS into ""send"" mode only. Now you can send your ACARS.TXT."

There are two profiles listed though, could be promising, may just need a little massaging."

"Yeah....didn't quite work as I thought either. It worked or me once, and I thought I did it as described earlier. I'll try fiddling with it to see what happens........."
