New Pilot

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

"Hi guys, Just wanted to say ""hi"" to all of you and introduce myself as I'm a new First Officer. My name's Tim Herman, and I'm 23 years old. Single, not married, and live near KMDT (Harrisburg Int'l Airport, PA). I've been flying FS for three years approximately and since my favorite aircraft is the 747, I've dedicated a lot of time and effort to mastering both the ""Classic"" and the ""-400"". My preference and operating experience is heavily weighted to the ""-400"", but I also am perfectly able to operate as a flight crew member on the Classic. Although I have flown many passenger flights since beginning my pilot career with FS, my preference is for cargo, so that's why I'm here. In addition to my aviation and air cargo interests, I like books, tv shows (especially Fox's ""24""), movies, music, alpacas (what cool animals!), photography, computers, and emergency/trauma medicine. I am currently not employed, due to health reasons such as a surgery in March to remove a brain tumor and the fact that I have an anxiety disorder which happened to resurge after the stress of the surgery. My previous employment was in the field of data entry, and I am currently a Front Page Editor for Avsim.com (just started last week). Although I've done very little commercial flying in my life, I've been interested in aviation and especially commercial aviation since I was little. Sunday evening I completed my first flight for the company, flying an Atlas charter 744F on behalf of Emirates SkyCargo in the beautiful N497MC. I look forward to meeting, talking, and flying with you all. Tim Herman"

Very sorry to hear of your health problems though. Hopefully flying with us will take your mind off some of those things for a while :) . You seem to be a very dedicated and serious minded pilot and that's what we look for in our employees. I'm sure you're going to be a great asset to our roster and I look forward to flying with you during our monthly fly-ins. Take care, Mark"
