Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.
"Did Gianfranco take down his site for the Delco CIVA INS? (www.simufly.com/ins/) I was looking to see if there were any updates the other day and the only downloadable version (v1.40) available is on the www.flightsim.com website. If anyone knows the status, please share!"
"I've just done a complete reinstall of my PC and so have been looking at this very issue myself. It appears that the Simufly website has indeed been shutdown, and the last version of the INS was V1.40 "
"My concern is that v1.40 is set to "expire" on Jan 1, 2007. I'm not sure what "expire" means, in that does the gauge just stops working, or does it mean that there is no longer any support? Which, I suppose, is now a moot point. "
"I hadn't heard anything about the CIVA INS expiring? It may just be conincidence, but 1st Jan 2007 is that date that support is going to stop for the RFP 747. Where did you find out about the INS expiring?"
"Hey Ted, I see where you are coming from, the 'HISTORY' file contains the information! It says Expiration Date: January 1, 2007! From what I can see, maybe the company was planning on making a Version 1.50 after Janurary 1, 2007 and that is why it would become 'expired' Looks like we will have to wait and see Thanks, Ross S"
"I certainly hope it doesn't stop working on January 1st, 2007. If that happens, looks like I may have to park the 'ol B742(SF) in the virtual desert. "
I've read somewhere that the problem was from the server and that it should be okay soon. That's what I heard; not sure if it's true though. Just my 2¢.
