"Hi All, I have searched for my question (Defueling,Fuel,) and did not find an answer. So here it is..... I read in the manual under fuel and saw something that said defueling the plane is done from the fuel panel. Well I called myself re-reading that section and I can not find anything on defueling the plane....except jettisoning fuel...is this what it ment? I want to fuel the correct way...and see how to load. But how do you defuel if you have to much? Is there a zero fuel weight for the aircraft.cfg? I know this must sound stupid of me..... Edward "

"Ed, if you talk about thr RFP742 I always start the same. I load a Cessna, turn everything off but the avionics, load the RFP and then go the the fuel window in FS9 and put zeros in all the boxes. Then I load the fuel normally with the fuel panel. I never had any problems. Hope this help. Also, welcome to the VA and hope you will like it. <!--emo&B)--><!--endemo-->"

"Hi Edward, welcome to the va, I never did figure out how to defuel via the panel, so what i do when loading up the 742, in the fs screen where it gives you the fuel/payload, click on the change fuel and set them to 10%, but the centre tanks set to 0%. When the 742 loads, bring the fuel up to were you want it. Its not how Ralph recomends doing it, but it seems to work for me. One thing do not load the cargo with the fs screen, it will ctd everytime. ed mosier 1287"
