Bidding question

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

"Question on bidding from a new pilot. If you place a bid on, say, one flight for each week of the month, does each flight have to be flown in that week, or do you just have to fly all of them (say four) in the month, even if you fly two or three in one week? Hope I made my question clear. :)"

Hi Greg, It's preferred to fly them within the same week as the flight is scheduled. With that said, there is no policy against flying it during any other week in that month. You won't be reprimanded for flying outside of the scheduled week. Justin "

What?? Problems with FSFK?? Talk about FS9 closing suddenly 30 minutes after take-off and FSFK still working; nice irony. "

"OK, thanks. Will try, but sometimes work gets in the way. Will definitely fly all the flights I pick, absent an emergency."

":) I get quite busy too at work and with honeydo projects, so i found the trick for me is to only bid on one or two short flights a month to stay current, then if i have time there are lots of open board flights and atlas charters to take, and of coarse there is always the flyin..... :D ed mosier 1287"

"Next question, guys. Most of the flights list a day of the week to fly them (Mon, Tue, etc.) Is it acceptable to fly, say, a Monday flight, on Friday, if you set your FS to that day of the week? Given my work schedule and family commitments, if I have to fly the flights on the actual day of the week listed, I will not be able to fly that often. I have to fly as I can."

The requirements are: - you fly your bids that month (i.e. fly all your August bids in August) - you set the FS date and time to match the bid being flown Whether you actually fly on those dates and times doesn't matter although it would add to realism. "

"Great! Thanks, Michel. I will now be able to fly more often. I will try to fly on the same days, but if not possible, I can at least fudge a bit and fly anyway by setting the date to the correct one in FS. Thanks, guys. Love this VA! :D"

"One more question. If I bid on one flight for a month, say in the third week, that means I have no flights reserved for weeks 1 and 2. Can I fly open board flights and Atlas Charter flights those two weeks until week 3 arrives? I understand that in week 3, I have to fly my bidded flight first. :D"
