Open board flights list..

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Open board flights list..

Post by radarb8 »

"I was wondering how the flights become "unclaimed". I remember reading somewhere on this forum that it had something to do with the dates being in the past that were "unclaimed" and therefore can't be flow after thier scheduled time... BUT, on the current list "Week 3 (Tue, 13 Feb 2007 - Mon, 19 Feb 2007)" ALL the Sunday flights (18th Feb) are "unclaimed" while it is still Saturday (17th Feb). Shouldn't the "un selected" or "un commited" Sunday flights still be "Available"? Are all the Sunday flights already assigned? ....also, Why do our weeks start on a Tuesdays? Please excuss my frustration.. :x I was trying find a flight out of Frankfurt (where my last flight ended Thurs 15th Feb) to continue on in a logical way. But there are no flights out of Frankfurt avaliable.. all the Sunday Frankfurt flights are listed as "unclaimed".. I would like to fly one of them, but can't  I guess I'll just wait (Frankfurt isn't a bad place to be stuck) for next week's flights to open up on Tuesday?. Then I can depart Frankfurt for where-ever cargo is urgently needed."

"Thomas, I don't deal with the administration of the open board flights. But I do know that we are in the middle of March bidding right now on Polar flights. Give it some time, or you might try checking out an Atlas charter to see if there is one near you? I know the ability to fly a return trip is not quite realistic right now, but it is something we are looking at for the future web site."

"Thanks guys.. I was fortunate enough to get an email form Javier Fernández who found the need for a repositioning flight for me to fly out of Frankfurt.. just as I was starting to like the idea of being stuck there for a couple more daZe... :? Oh well, duty calls. Off to Dubai with 135K lbs of chartered cargo... and a nicely cleaned aircraft. I decided to pay you guys back with a slide show of my efforts, (repositioning our equipment) in the form of a slide show I placed a link to in our Screen shots forum area. Smoooooth landings to all.. 8)"
