Request for PAC parking spot info

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Request for PAC parking spot info

Post by Covert53 »

"Greetings all, Can anyone provide a list of the real world PAC/GTI parking locations at the airfileds we normally use? I had the unpleasant experience of the KORD tower controller "educating" me on where PAC aircraft normally park at O'Hare (NE Apron). In particular, I'm looking for KLAX. KATL, PANC, VHHH, EGLL. Thanks in advance."

"Rick, in ATL Polar and Atlas park on the South Cargo Ramp, using the west side building normally. This is from direct visual observation as I work at the airport."

Thanks. What do you do there? You have more than I do. All I get is to hear them on my aviation radio from my house enroute to ATL from the northeast. I live under J37 between the BRV and GVE VORs.

"Hey Rick, I work for Delta as an A&P mechanic (Aviation Maintenance Technician) or AMT as they call it. Currently I work in the CF6-80 engine shop, rebuilding Low Pressure Turbines. Used to live in Dallas, TX when Delta still had maint. there, doing 757 overhauls, sheet metal mostly. Ah yes, J37. That's close to J42 which I use a lot in my travels for Polar/Atlas. I'll make sure to tell the crew not to flush the toilets between BRV and GVE "

"The following is from an earlier post by Craig Applegate who is a dispatcher for Polar. Regarding KMIA, I often see them parked on the NE apron as well. We don't fly into EGLL. KJFK parking is confusing because we park at different locations depending on the type of flights. For scheduled service we park next to the KAL building off taxiway intersection SA off "B" For ferry flights to military destinations like KDOV, KCHS, KWRI we park across from the cargo area off taxiway "S". For flight that are done for Qantas or Airatalia ( Atlas does most of these) we park infront of NCA cargo building "CE" taxiway between FDX and NWA KORD - Northeast Ramp KATL - South Cargo Ramp bay 5 KMIA - Western U Cargo area KLAX - South Side infront of JAL building with overflow spots infront of NCA building PANC - End of 25R off of "A" straight ahead ZSPD - Cargo Ramp 3 across int "A11" "A12" spots 301-307 RJAA - Northern end 34L/16R across from int "P1" "P2" off taxiway "A" spots 209-212 VHHH - infront of HACTL Cargo terminal off "K" intersection "L2" RKSI - East cargo ramp off "D" intersection "D3" first building on left EGPK - Ramp "B" off taxiway "R" EHAM - Ramp "S" off RWY 6/24 int "S2" "

At PANC Polar does park at the end and to the right of 25R if you are looking towrds 25R. But they also park in other cargo parking areas at the airport if those spots are filled.
