Dual core vs. Quad for FSX

Post by peter »

Hi all,

I run FSX - current rig has 4mb ram, Nvida 8800 GTX 768mb with Intel dual core E6700. I am getting some "studder" on senery loading.

I an considering moving to quad core processor - I am confused by all the internet speak on FSX. Some say it will only use two cores, some say it uses all four ( core one primarily but core 2,3,4 are used.

Does anyone have the real information this?

Thanks
