BAW3574, 744 or 742?

Post by alex_6523 »

Hello, I just selected an open-board flight for this evening, BAW3574. And looking at the registration the dispatch gave me (N524MC). It is a 747-200. But I was looking at FlightAware http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BAW3 ... /KATL/EGSS and it shows as far back as it will allow me to, that BAW3574 is a Boeing 747-400. I am not saying either of you guys are wrong, just wanted to clarify what I should fly. Since you guys are striving for realism I thought I would run it by someone :D
Thanks
-Alex

This won't directly answer your question, but if you wold like to substitute a 400F for the 200 for this flight , have a look at this forum post:

I would say that is because Atlas retired all their 200 but we are still flying them. Feel free to use either.

So, I was scrolling though some Airliners.net pics today. And I found this http://www.airliners.net/photo/Atlas-Ai ... cabfb26e93
And this was taken just a few weeks ago. So Atlas hasn't retired their 742F's yet?

Well, if you want to play that game. "Technically" it's a 2D7B(SF). Sorry, I couldn't resist. :P

Yes, and if you were talking to ground /twr. It should be "Speedbird 3574, Heavy, Atlas Colors.

I know you already capitulated to this Louis, but just to add..... I think that RW Atlas military charters are 742's. I guess if Uncle Sam is footing the fuel bill, they can use the older jets. :D

Either way, I love the RFP 742. That's a pilots airplane. 8)

Totally agree with that Ted although after not flying it for a while I usually have problems with it related to FS9...don't know why.

What problems are you having specifically? I'm pretty good at troubleshooting "legacy" FS2002/FS2004 aircraft. I may be able to help you out.

I agree as well, I'm really into the RFP 742 at the moment.

I'm flying all the 742 flights that I can
