Open Board Flights

Just went to bid on a Sunday Flight (tomorrow), but they are all showing "Unclaimed" while Saturday (today) flights are available. I haven't seen this before, anyone want to chime in?? Thanks

Not sure why they do that, but they do and always have since I've been here! The sunday flights should be available by tomorrow, I believe, on Sunday. I would check back in later on Saturday just to see if they have become avail.

It is a "feature" of the Open Board system that it can't keep track of which days is first in a week. Some parts of the code thinks it is Monday and other parts think it is Sunday. So various parts of the system get confused. The pages are part of the original website code that were in place before I joined (back in 2006!) and have been patched numerous times. They are due for a re-write "real soon" once we can find some time to put together a design plan for "Polar 2.0".

Until then we just need to work around some of the quirks...

Thanks for that clarification Tomas. So do the Sunday flights then become active at 0000z Sunday morning?
