Desk Jockeys

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

11 Pilots in the Europe and Middle East Region have no hours logged. 10 Pilots in the North and South America Region have no hours logged. 3 Pilots in the Asia and Australia Region have no hours logged. In a few cases. pilots included above have only been with us a few days but there are some pilots with enough time on the roster that they should be logging flight time by now with Open Board or Charters. The Regional Administrators do agree though that overall quality of pilots on our roster is better than expected and the large number of PIREP's filed over the week-end was a testimate to that.

"It is interesting that you point this out. I've flown 1 charter and 1/2 of 1 open flight and already have over 22 hours. I noticed that there were several captain ranked pilots in my own region with no hours, granted some of those people are on leave. Maybe those pilots on long term leave should not be calculated into the 50/50 captain / FO ratio. I know I don't particularly like being a FO with only 22 hours under my belt and there are 6 Captains in our ranks with less hours than I!"

"Take a deep breath. Believe me, it'll happen. When you get to be my age you know that everything that you didn't think will happen does happen. Just be patient. :-) billg "

"Howdy! Along the lines of this topic, will there be any ""dispatch releases""... released this month? I ask this because I noticed that the November releases were by request only. This is my first experience with the bid process. I've been hoggin' the open board flights! <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo--> Also, I think I read that if one is on a long flight with one leg, one is expected to determine a fuel stop. Is this correct? Or do you hope and pray for a favourable tail wind? (um jokeing... sort of <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> ) Oh, I just got myself an ATI X800 Pro... me likey! <!--emo&;)--><!--endemo--> "
