PMDG 777 Beta

Post by Aaron Buchanan »

Well as some of you know I am a member of the PMDG Tech Team/Beta Team. And if you follow AVSIM like a hawk you will see that the PMDG 777 has been released to the Beta Team. What I am willing to do is hold a Discussion on our company TeamSpeak to answer any questions that I can answer for you.

I will be on and off this afternoon (TeamSpeak) until approximately 1900EST (2300GMT). I will try to provide a time on Saturday after 1600EST (2000GMT)

Though I do not know the real date of release, with the state it's in I'd say your wait will be short. She flys well and it's refreshing to be sitting in a new airplane cockpit.

If you have questions I'll do my best to answer them.

Since I am not employed by PMDG, it's not my place to discuss dates. :?

Hi Aaron,
Thanks for the good news.
I'll try to catch you on TS
Jerry

PS Looked for you on TS. several times on Sat., but missed you.
Aaron, do you know if the EFB will be operational? From what I gather, it will not be working, seems this would take a lot to model.

Good to see we have beta testers in GC! :D

I have a dumb question for you... I have been trying to find the answer in different forums but I find different opinions and answers some of which are old posts... Will the PMDG's 777 have a 2D panel? Or will this make me start flying in virtual cockpit? Haha.

Thanks!

I have yet to see a 2D panel and will defer to Aaron, our resident PMDG beta tester, to answer

There is no dedicated 2D panel. There are popup panels for the screens, FMC(s), MCP, and comms.
