A Polar & Atlas Air Virtual Airline

Globe Cargo News

What's New

In our ever changing world things here at GCVA keep pace and change as well.

This year we are giving extra attention to historical events from the history of Polar and Atlas.

Milestone events from the companies such as new aircraft deliveries, first routes and some dedicated time to commmerate other historical and significant events for the airlines.

The Events commision is still in need of a few voulunteers for the planning of Polar/Atls events and some fun in-house events.

As always, Bodo has been updating new Repaints to match current aircraft liveries and the newly arrived aircraft to the fleet.

Darrell has updated new real world schedule and charters. There is also on our discord channel the added  "Charter Suggestion" area where anyone can send their ideas for a "To and From" location that is not on the normal schedule/open board flights or charters. Please remember ACFT / Location / Load. Remember to check the airports to ensure the selected acft can operate from it.

The Dispatch Department is still closing in on completeing the programming required to meet the SB standard getting dispatchers back online.

The next Meet and Greet for staff and memebrs is in planning, Keep an eye on the webpage!

Thankyou  to all of you for helping GCVA continue to be such a great place in 2024.

GCP Available for Download

GCP 3.1.2 can be downloaded from the Downloads page.

Change log:

  • Added logbook loading error detail to the Error Log
  • Fixed FS20 file location saving in User Setup
  • Potential fix for Last Flight Incomplete not clearing
  • Fixed missing GPS file upload link
  • Added OOOI time and FOB to ACARS position reporting (use for DX)
  • Changed "Update Dep/Dest" button text on Preflight tab to "Divert"

A number of other fixes are included however the details of those were lost in project syncing.

A known issue that will be addressed in a future update is when you open User Setup but fail to complete the Pilot data portion and save at least 1 FS version Main Directory and Flights Directory, you will be presented with multiple error popups. Until this is fixed, please be sure to complete the "Globe Cargo Info" section and point to at least 1 FS version directories and click save.

Found a bug or have an issue? Please let me know in the GCP Support Discord channel or email gcp@globecargova.org

Pilot Manual Update

A new Pilot Manual (PM) has been published. The revision numbering has been changed from an incremental digit to 1st or 2nd half of the year and 2 digit year. The revision now available is 1H22 (1st Half 2022). The intention is to update the PM twice per year regaurdless of how much information has changed.

Much of this update was to address the differences between the old website and our new website. More screenshots were added, a few policy changes, and more aircraft models added to the approved list. All changes are indicated by the changebars in the left margin.

Report errors or suggestions to staff for consideration in future revisions.
